Desde el 1 de octubre nos acompaña, en el IES "Jabalcuz", una nueva auxiliar de conversación, Agasel. Desde esta página le damos la bienvenida a nuestro centro y a nuestra ciudad, donde esperamos que se encuentre como en casa. My name is
Agasel and I’m the English Language Assistant at IES Jabalcuz. I am here in
Spain on behalf of the program NALCA (North American Language and Culture
Assistants), which provides opportunities for native English speakers around
the world to live and teach English in Spain.
I was born in
Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada. I am a native English speaker, and my
parents were born in the Philippines. I chose to move to Spain in order to
improve my Spanish, and to gain greater insight into this country’s culture.
I arrived in
Spain in October of 2013 and lived in Villacarrillo, Jaén for one year. During
that time I worked at the Official School of Languages (Escuela Oficial de
Idiomas) in that town. This year I am living in Jaén while assisting at IES
Jabalcuz.
I look forward
to helping the students improve their English. If I can be of assistance please
don’t hesitate to ask when you see me in the classes or hallways!
Me llamo Agasel y soy la auxiliar de conversación de
inglés en el IES Jabalcuz. Estoy aquí en España por el programa NALCA
(Auxiliares Norteamericanos en Idioma y Cultura), que es una oportunidad para
hablantes nativos de todo el mundo de vivir y enseñar inglés en España.
Nací en Vancouver, Columbia Británica, en Canadá. Mi
lengua materna es el inglés, y mis padres nacieron en las Filipinas. Eligí
mudarme a España para mejorar mi español, y para aprender más sobre la cultura
de este país.
Llegué a España en Octubre de 2013 y viví en
Villacarrillo, Jaén, por un año. Durante este año trabajé en la Escuela Oficial
de Idiomas en ese pueblo. Este año vivo en Jaén mientras trabajo en el IES
Jabalcuz.
Estoy emocionada de poder ayudar los alumnos a
mejorar su inglés. Si yo puedo ayudaros, ¡no dudéis en pedirme ayuda cuando me
veáis en las clases o en los pasillos del instituto!
